Halloween Comes EARLY

Brian's Half Marathon

So this weekend I had the genius idea to participate in the Hartford Half Marathon. I mean there's free food (GOOD food from Whole Foods) at the end and free beer!

Of course I neglected to train for this at all so my time wasn't great (read: some Marathoners finished before me).

Flip Video!

So I broke down and gave Anne-Marie her Birthday present early. It was a Flip Mino Video Recorder. It's a tiny little device, the size of a late 90's cell phone (between zach morris and the tiny things today).

Eoin in Toga-Town

That's right...this past weekend was Eoin's first trip to Saratoga Springs, NY. We headed up on Friday with most of the Luchina Clan to take over 10 Beechwood Drive and enjoy a day at the track on Saturday.

On the way up on Friday Anne-Marie, Eoin and I stopped in Otis, MA at a little farmers market type place where we took this gem of a photo:



Once we got to Burnt Hills we took Annie's parents up to Saratoga for a walking tour which of course included a trip to Esperantos...and yes, that is a Dough boy in Annie's hand:



From here Annie, Eoin, and Nona enjoyed a ride on the carosel and even got a sticker to prove they went on it:



Nonu and I "enjoyed" some "fresh" spring water and then we headed home for the night:



On Saturday Nonu and I treked up to Saratoga at 6 am to lock up a picnic table for the day. We were harassing this guy who cut the line who then threatened to "Rip my lips off"...Seriously? Who rips lips off? That's like a man slapping a man instead of just throwing a punch!

Anyway, we killed the next 4 hours at Uncommon Grounds and reading the racing form and then enjoyed a great day at the track:



Eoin did an OK job picking horses as he locked up the first exacta for me. Overall Jodi Luchina was the big winner connecting on the exacta pair of ARRRRRRR and Feline Felone. And if you've never heard Tom Durkin call a race with this horse check it out below...it's worth a listen!

Eoin in Beantown

This week was vacation week for the Noonan's. We spent the first weekend in Boston with Brian's good friends Jeff and Kristen. Eoin took his first trip on the T:



Eoin had a great time at the Pour House despite the fact that he did NOT get a sip of Brian's PBR draft:



We also hit up Brian's Mecca...the Apple Store:



After our long day of seeing the sights Eoin and Jeff needed a bottle:



Jeff REALLY enjoyed his bottle. Here is a picture of he and Kristen after with the weeman:



We also got a chance to visit with Eoin's Uncle Frank. All in all we just felt smarter for hanging around Harvard square.

OK...so I couldn't resist the cheesy statistics reference there...I AM an engineer! Eoin had his 6 month appointment and aside from screaming from his shots here are his vitals:

Height - 28 Inches (90th percentile)
Weight - 19.6 lbs (80th percentile)
Noggin - 41 cm (50th percentile)

That's How I Roll...

Our little Eoin is getting stronger by the day. Two weeks ago he rolled over at the pediatrician's office and today he rolled over...forwards AND backwards...on his baby Einstein mat. His first strides towards an NHL career!

Happy Valentine's Day (LATE)

Here are some pictures that were hidden on Anne-Marie's camera of our little man from Valentine's day. Judging by his expression in the first picture I think he really needed a hug!

Happy St. Patty's Day (EARLY)

Everything is going wonderful with our little man. He is starting to drink a bottle or two of formula a day. I never realized how bad formula smells. Seriously, I nearly threw-up when he burped yesterday but it must taste good because he's mowing it down!
