Eoin's Baptism - MORE PICTURES

Here are some pictures of the actual Baptism that my Moms took.

Eoin's Baptism

My favorite is the one of the Rod-father holding the Baptism candle like it was a number 2 Ticonderoga pencil and he was deathly afraid of leaving a pencil mark outside of the scan tron bubble...and I was equally concerned.

Return of Sunday TNisms...

I apologize for the long silence on the blog front. Here is alittle something to wet your appetite.

Remember the story of my Dad using Dryer Sheets to keep the bugs away? Here is the photographic evidence to prove it! And while that mower is an Ariens circa 1970 the picture was taken in 2006.

Mr. Noonan, I challenge you to a duel

This past weekend we Baptised Eoin and it was great to see many of our friends our family. Here is a picture of Annie with Eoin:

Here's a picture of Eoin with the AWESOME cake him Mom put together in her free time...

And here is what Dad thought about the cake:

I will upload all of the pictures soon to the blog but first is the big story of the weekend...Rod Marriott, AKA "The Rodfather" challenged TN to a staring contest, seriously.

And so it began...

"You going to eat that cake" - The Rodfather
"INLANC" (I'm Not Looking At No Cake) - TN

TN was intensily commited to this juvenile contest:

The Rodfather would NOT let down Eoin:

Jeff and Eoin couldn't bear to watch!

But finally TN broke down, not only did he stop staring...he fell asleep right there at the table!

Walnut congratulated Rod on a well fought battle...

...and just like in elementary school TN owed The Rodfather a Coke.

This week with Eoin A.

So I'm stuck on my work computer which doesn't allow me to access Picassa so I can only throw up a couple of pictures now but I'll try and ger more up later.

Annie and I spent most of the weekend cleaning the house to prepare for Eoin's Christening next weekend. His Uncle Jeffrey Kimmel is not very happy that we chose Super Bowl Sunday but such is life.

Ike and Melissa came over yesterday to see the little guy:

Eoin is also working on his super model look. He calls this one La Tigre:

Unfortunatley he's not an ambiturner which could hurt his career.

We also let him watch office space and now he keeps making this face:

Not sure what that's all about but I think he's going to be a
ladies man (like the guy below):

Woof Woof = Don't Tase Me Bro!

So many of you have had the pleasure of being assaulted by our 50 lb mut Walnut. Ceasar Millan AKA the Dog Whisperer would probably classify this little guy as VERY high energy but we love him all the same. He has been great with the baby but I think having the baby around changed his routin and he wasn't a big fan.

"Can we go to the park Dad?"

Every day I used to take Walnut to the dog park where he could run and play with the other dogs and he LOVES it. Walnut is probably the second fastest dog out there with only the Greyhounds able to out run him when he gets going. Seriously, I know everyone thinks their dog is the fastest of their kid is the smartest but this is not one of those times. If you have ever let my dog outside in our yard and tried to catch him (ROD) you realize that there is no hope. Walnut is Taliban trained (he's from Beihrut) and just like Osama Bin Laden, if he doesn't want to get caught, he's not going to get caught.

CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!!!

So we hadn't been to the park for awhile so I brought the beast. Everything was going fine, he was playing and enjoying himself in the snow and then it was time to leave. Usually I just have to walk to the door of the park and he's by my side ready to go home but this time he wasn't there...he was sitting in the middle of the park. One by one his play buddies left and there we were, at a veritable Mexican stand off, 20 degrees out, I'm starving and there is absolutely NO WAY I'm catching him.

After about 20 minutes of trying I'm so fed up that I just left him at the dog park. Now its only a 3 minute drive from the park to our house so I figured I'd go home, get some dinner, and come back with some treats and hopefully by then he'd be dying to come home. So I ate dinner with Annie and Eoin and headed back to the park.

As I pulled into the park I realized there were two cars in the parking lot. I thought, "Great - these guys are going to think I'm a terrible Dog father." As I pulled in closed I realized they weren't just regular cars...they were a Southington Police car and a Southington Animal Control van!

So there these two cops are, chasing my dog around the park! Other than the fact I thought they'd call DDF (Department of Dogs and Familes) it was a hilarious site. Turns out Walnut was barking so a neighbor called them and they had been chasing him for 15 minutes with absolutely no luck.

Then one of the cops had an idea. He un-holstered his Taser and pointed it at Walnut. "Get ready to grab him."

Seriously? You're going to Tase my dog? I could see the look in Walnut's eyes...just like the guy in this video:

Don't Tase Me Bro!

OK...so he didn't tase him, he tried to get him to chase the red light from the laser target dealy on the Taser.

15 minutes later we were able to lure Walnut into captivity using a much more conventional method...treats

So that is the story about how my dog almost got tased by the Southington Police...what a week!

Weeeeeeeee-man

So here I sit in Orlando and my Wife and Baby are still in Connecticut! I had to come down for work and I'll be heading home tomorrow morning and while this is the first time I was able to sleep for 7 straight hours I'm not a big fan of waking up in a different stat that my little man. Here are some more pictures of the little guy. He's starting to interact with us alot more which is awesome..you can see him just soaking in Mom and Dad!
